Luxury home renovation.
Hotel-grade tolerances, natural material palette, and a programme you can actually plan your life around.
What luxury home renovation really involves.
Luxury renovation is not an expensive version of a normal renovation. It is a different discipline, and it fails in different places.
It is won or lost on tolerances. A developer-grade job accepts a 5mm gap. A luxury job does not. Reveals must be consistent, skirting must line through, stone veining must be matched across a book-matched slab, door heights must relate to ceiling heights, and the cove that carries your concealed lighting must be dead straight over its full run — because a 3mm bow in a cove is invisible in daylight and glaringly obvious the moment the LED strip is switched on. This is the difference clients feel but often cannot name.
Material honesty. Our palette is natural: travertine, marble, granite, solid timber, brushed metal, lime-based render. These materials age well and read as real. They also move — timber expands in Malaysian humidity, stone stains if it is not sealed properly — which is exactly why they need a contractor who accounts for that in the detailing rather than discovering it after handover.
Lighting is architecture, not an afterthought. Most Malaysian renovations bolt lighting on at the end. The result is a grid of downlights and a flat, shadowless room. We plan lighting with the layout: concealed cove for ambient wash, focused accents on stone and art, warm colour temperature (2700–3000K) throughout, and dimming where it matters. It costs more in coordination and almost nothing in materials — and it is the single biggest visual difference between a good renovation and an expensive-looking one.
The unglamorous half. Before any of the above, the services have to be right: full rewire sized for the actual load, replumbed hot and cold, waterproofing membrane reinstated and flood-tested, air-conditioning properly zoned and drained. Clients rarely get excited about this. It is where the money is well spent, and it is the first thing a cheap quotation quietly omits.
Our process.
Site assessment & honest scope
We open up and inspect: structure, wiring, plumbing, waterproofing, roof. You get told what actually needs doing — including the things you would rather not hear.
Design & material selection
2D/3D concept, material boards, lighting plan. Samples in your hand and in your actual daylight before anything is ordered.
Written itemised quotation
Line by line. No provisional lumps that quietly balloon later. Programme issued with the quotation, not after.
Services first
Rewire, replumb, waterproofing membrane, flood test, AC zoning. The invisible work, done before anything is covered up.
Structure & joinery
Wall works, ceiling, cove formation, stone, custom joinery. Set out and checked — reveals consistent, lines true.
Finishing, commissioning, handover
Lighting commissioned and dimmed in, snagging list closed, warranty and O&M documents issued. 12-month defects liability.
Timeline & indicative cost.
Indicative ranges based on completed Klang Valley projects. Every quotation is itemised line by line after a free site assessment — no provisional lumps that quietly grow later.
| Scope | Typical duration | Indicative range |

Frequently asked questions.
What counts as a 'luxury' renovation, and why does it cost more?
Three things: material grade (natural stone and solid timber rather than laminate and veneer), execution tolerance (consistent reveals, matched veining, lines that actually line through), and services quality (full rewire, replumb, reinstated waterproofing, properly zoned air-conditioning). The visible finishes are what clients notice; the tolerances and the services are what the money actually buys.
What is your minimum project value?
RM 150,000 for full renovation packages. Below that, the coordination overhead that makes a luxury result possible cannot be delivered honestly, and we would rather tell you that than take the job and cut corners.
Do you provide design, or do I need my own interior designer?
We provide both routes. Archevo Build offers in-house design — 2D/3D concept, material and lighting planning — or we build to your appointed architect's or interior designer's drawings. We are equally comfortable as the design-and-build contractor or the executing contractor on someone else's design.
How do you make sure the price does not increase halfway through?
By inspecting before quoting, not after. Most cost blow-outs come from things a contractor did not check: hidden structural issues, undersized wiring, failed waterproofing, unapproved existing works. We open up and inspect at the site-assessment stage, and the quotation is issued line by line. Variations only happen when you change the scope.
What warranty do you provide?
A 12-month defects liability period from practical completion, plus manufacturers' warranties on materials and installed systems. As-built records and an operation & maintenance manual are handed over at completion.
